Dr Robert Mayne enjoyed a role as a Senior lecturer in Orthodontics at La Trobe University teaching undergraduate dental students.

Dr Mayne works in partnership with his wife, Dr Roslyn Mayne in Shepparton and they have a like-minded patient treatment philosophy. For the first time, patients of the Goulburn Valley have resident orthodontic specialists.

Dr Mayne is up-to-date with the latest orthodontic techniques and technologies and committed to providing excellent and progressive treatment to the community. He understands not only the improvements in health and function that orthodontics can achieve, but more importantly the gains in self esteem that can be achieved in people of any age and enjoys getting to know their patients and having some fun along the way.

Dr Mayne enjoys a game of golf and social tennis.

Dr Roslyn Mayne is an active member of the ADAVB and works on a casual basis for the Australian Health Practitioner Agency.

Dr Mayne enjoys netball and takes delight in being a new Mum.

Adam grew up in Sydney and attended the University of Melbourne on a National Scholarship to complete the Bachelor of Dental Science degree. He then worked as a general dentist at Goulburn Valley Base Hospital and in private practice in Melbourne. During this time, he was a clinical demonstrator for dental students at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne.

Having developed a keen interest in orthodontics, he graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry to become a registered specialist orthodontist. His research thesis on orthodontic bonding cements received the best poster award at a recent conference.

Adam is a member of the Australian Society Orthodontists and the Australian Dental Association. He is certified by the Australian Orthodontic Board and holds fellowship and memberships by examination with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS, MRACDS(Orth)) and the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (MOrth RCSEd).

Adam is married to Vanessa and they have volunteered on trips to China and Myanmar to provide dental and medical treatment in remote areas. They also enjoy playing music, cooking, travelling and exploring new restaurants.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Alan completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Melbourne, before working as a general dentist in both public and private clinics. He has worked as the Senior Dentist at Goulburn Valley Health and Lecturer at the Department of Rural Health at the University of Melbourne. He then undertook specialist orthodontic training at the University of Melbourne to obtain his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry.

Alan is a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, and Australian Dental Association. He has also achieved certification with the Australian Orthodontic Board.

To keep up to date with the latest scientific and technological advances, Alan regularly attends local and international orthodontic meetings and conferences, so that his patients can receive the very best possible care.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his partner Gloria and their pug Herbert, visiting cafes and restaurants, and watching the Essendon Football Club.
