Chen is an AHPRA registered
specialist orthodontist and ASO member
Adam grew up in Sydney and attended the University of Melbourne on a National Scholarship to complete the Bachelor of Dental Science degree. He then worked as a general dentist at Goulburn Valley Base Hospital and in private practice in Melbourne. During this time, he was a clinical demonstrator for dental students at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne.
Having developed a keen interest in orthodontics, he graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry to become a registered specialist orthodontist. His research thesis on orthodontic bonding cements received the best poster award at a recent conference.
Adam is a member of the Australian Society Orthodontists and the Australian Dental Association. He is certified by the Australian Orthodontic Board and holds fellowship and memberships by examination with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS, MRACDS(Orth)) and the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (MOrth RCSEd).
Adam is married to Vanessa and they have volunteered on trips to China and Myanmar to provide dental and medical treatment in remote areas. They also enjoy playing music, cooking, travelling and exploring new restaurants.
