Dr Allan believes in a healthy, balanced lifestyle. He enjoys the ability to share with his patients the gift of a beautiful smile and improved oral health.

Dr Allan grew up in Sydney and completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Sydney in 2003. He graduated with Honours and a Distinguished Undergraduate Scholarship.

For three years he worked as a general dentist in Tamworth. Before pursuing orthodontics, he spent a year contributing his dental expertise in Nepal, Vanuatu, Walgett and Alice Springs. He values the experience gained working in each of these communities.

Dr Allan completed his specialist orthodontic degree at The University of Melbourne. He is an active member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the World Federation of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Dr Allan is friendly and approachable with a positive outlook. He is always happy to answer questions or concerns regarding orthodontic treatment.

Originally from Bourke, Dr Coolican studied his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at The University of Sydney. He worked in general practice in NSW at Gladesville, Ashfield and Wollongong and later went to New Zealand for postgraduate studies in orthodontics at the University of Otago.

Dr Coolican is based in NSW, has been a Clinical Tutor (postgraduate orthodontics students) at Westmead Hospital and currently tutors undergraduate students in orthodontics at Charles Sturt University.

Dr Coolican has four children and enjoys golf, kayaking and mountainbiking. He played Rugby for Australia, toured with the Wallabies and is a past president of the NSW Rugby Union. He is currently Vice-President of the Australian Rugby Union.
