Dr John
Coolican is an AHPRA registered
specialist orthodontist and ASO member
Originally from Bourke, Dr Coolican studied his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at The University of Sydney. He worked in general practice in NSW at Gladesville, Ashfield and Wollongong and later went to New Zealand for postgraduate studies in orthodontics at the University of Otago.
Dr Coolican is based in NSW, has been a Clinical Tutor (postgraduate orthodontics students) at Westmead Hospital and currently tutors undergraduate students in orthodontics at Charles Sturt University.
Dr Coolican has four children and enjoys golf, kayaking and mountainbiking. He played Rugby for Australia, toured with the Wallabies and is a past president of the NSW Rugby Union. He is currently Vice-President of the Australian Rugby Union.
