specialist orthodontist and ASO member
Dr Gordon Cheung grew up on the North Shore, New Zealand where he did all his primary and secondary schooling. Upon completing his secondary studies, he decided to not only embark on a career in dentistry, but have an adventure and move to Perth, Australia. Dr Cheung completed his Bachelor of Dental Science and Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (Hons) at the University of Western Australia.
After several years working as a general dentist in Perth, he decided he would like to pursue further studies in orthodontics. He completed the orthodontic speciality programme at the University of Sydney where he was awarded the best tabled board case in his final year. He is a member of the Australian Dental association (ADA), Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (MRACDS), certified member of the Australian Orthodontic Board (AOB) as well the current elected state treasurer of the Australian Society of Orthodontists (ASO).
Gordon is well published, with articles in both the Australian Orthodontic Journal and European Journal of Orthodontics. Although COVID has recently impacted on his ability to travel, Gordon enjoys attending conferences and courses both locally and abroad to keep up to date with the latest advances in orthodontics. He is particularly focused on using Invisalign to treat both his adult and adolescent patients.
At home, Gordon is married to his lovely wife Tiffany and they have two beautiful daughters Chloe and Emilie, as well as their much loved Corgi Mochi. In his spare time, Gordon enjoys cycling and baking.
