Dr Wilkinson completed his degree in Dentistry in 1989. After 8 years of working in general dentistry, he completed a three year Master's Degree in Orthodontics at the University of Otago in New Zealand. Dr Wilkinson has worked extensively in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia in the public and private dental sectors and has been working on the Gold Coast since 2001.
Dr Wilkinson is a member of the Australian Dental Association and Australian Society of Orthodontics and regularly attends orthodontic conferences and continued professional development training to stay current with the latest advances in orthodontics.
When Dr Wilkinson isn’t busy helping patients create perfect smiles, he enjoys spending time with his family, getting involved in various water sports and his children's activities.
Dr. Amesha Maree completed her Bachelor of Dental Science degree at the University of Witwatersrand, in Johannesburg, South Africa before she relocated to Australia calling the Gold Coast home. After 13 years of experience as a Dentist, she pursued her childhood desire to become a Registered Specialist Orthodontist by completing a 3 year full-time specialist training programme in Orthodontics at the University of Queensland. She has gained membership to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Specialist Dental Practice (Orthodontics).
She is dedicated to excellence in the journey of a patient's smile transformation, providing a caring atmosphere, and adopts technological advances that improves the comfort and efficiency of modern orthodontic treatment. Amesha embraces a lifelong learning mindset to provide the best possible care and outcomes for her patients.
She has the privilege of treating patients in the public system at Gold Coast Oral Health Services, who genuinely need her expertise, improving their quality of life, and contributing to the overall welfare of the community.
Amesha holds certification with the Australasian Orthodontic Board (AOB), and is a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists (ASO), Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry (ANZSPD), American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) and World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO). Her research on the Invisalign appliance was published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics.
As an Orthodontist and also a mother, she is grateful to contribute to society through her professional expertise while experiencing the joys and challenges of motherhood. It's a fulfilling and rewarding experience that requires dedication, organisation, and the ability to find harmony between these two essential aspects of life.
