Wilkinson Orthodontics: Helensvale
Dr Wilkinson completed his degree in Dentistry in 1989. After 8 years of working in general dentistry, he completed a three year Master's Degree in Orthodontics at the University of Otago in New Zealand. Dr Wilkinson has worked extensively in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia in the public and private dental sectors and has been working on the Gold Coast since 2001.
Dr Wilkinson is a member of the Australian Dental Association and Australian Society of Orthodontics and regularly attends orthodontic conferences and continued professional development training to stay current with the latest advances in orthodontics.
When Dr Wilkinson isn’t busy helping patients create perfect smiles, he enjoys spending time with his family, getting involved in various water sports and his children's activities.
Chris completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2014 in North Queensland at James Cook University. Research opportunities during undergraduate studies in dentistry and after, led him to pursuing a desire to become an orthodontist. He later completed a full-time 3 year orthodontic residency to achieve specialist registration, obtaining a Doctorate in Orthodontics in 2018 from the University of Queensland.
He joined the Wilkinson Orthodontics team in 2019 where he has been dedicated to providing his patients with exceptional orthodontic care. Chris is committed to continuing education to ensure he is at the forefront of orthodontic knowledge, regularly participating in meetings and conferences nationally and internationally. Chris holds certification with the Australasian Orthodontic Board (AOB), and is a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists (ASO), American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) and World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO).
Chris is married with two children and enjoys travelling and reading.
Dr. Amesha completed her Bachelor of Dental Science degree at the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa before she relocated to Australia calling the Gold Coast home. She pursued her childhood desire to become an Orthodontist by completing a 3 year full-time specialist training programme in orthodontics at the University of Queensland and has gained membership to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in specialist dental practice.
Dr Amesha joined the Clear Smiles Orthodontics team in 2021 and is dedicated to excellence in the journey of a patient's smile transformation in a caring atmosphere, using the best technological advances in orthodontics. She holds certification with the Australasian Orthodontic Board (AOB), and is a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists (ASO), Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry (ANZSPD), American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) and The Invisible Orthodontist (TIO). Her research on the Invisalign appliance is soon to be published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics.
She spends her spare time with her 2 young boys which usually involves playdates, soccer and swimming lessons.
