Sunil Hettige Orthodontist: Gympie

Dr Hettige received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Otago(Dunedin, New Zealand) in 1982. He subsequently practiced as a general dentist in private, public and military practice in New Zealand and Australia for 12 years. He served as a volunteer dentist in overseas relief services for refugees for more than a year.

In 1996 Dr Hettige completed his specialist training in Orthodontics at the University of Adelaide, South Australia, receiving the Masters of Dental Science(Orthodontics) degree. Dr Hettige has been a registered specialist orthodontist since that time in private practice in Buderim and Gympie, Queensland. During this time he presented cases treated to receive accreditation by the Australian Orthodontic Board. He has also served in the Nambour and Gympie Hospitals as visiting orthodontist.
