Dr Geenty received his dental training at Otago University in New Zealand, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 1975. He spent two years as Dental Registrar at a provincial hospital before returning to Otago to begin post-graduate training in orthodontics.
Dr Geenty started practice in Wollongong in 1981. In 1985 he was appointed part-time Clinical Associate in Orthodontics at Westmead Hospital and in 1993, a Senior Clinical Associate at the University of Sydney. In 2008 he was appointed Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney.
Dr Geenty spends two days a month teaching post-graduate students at Sydney University. He has had several original articles published in scientific journals and he lectures to orthodontists and dentists in Australia and overseas.
Dr Geenty is a keen runner and competes in both 10km and half marathon events.
Dr Ho completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago in New Zealand. He worked in a private general practice in Auckland before serving in the New Zealand Defence Force as a Dental Officer for three years. He then migrated to Australia to begin his post-graduate training in Orthodontics at the University of Adelaide, where he received Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics).
Dr Ho is a member of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Orthodontics). He has lectured at various professional meetings and international conferences and was an invited speaker at the recent conference of the World Federation of Orthodontists.
Dr Ho enjoys soccer, basketball and snowboarding. He is also a certified coach in ten-pin bowling and participates in competitions.
Peter was born and raised in Sydney where he attended Fort Street High School. After completing high school Peter travelled to Adelaide to complete his Bachelor of dental surgery. Peter returned to Sydney to work in private practice and to tutor oral surgery students at the University of Sydney. He received his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics at the University of Sydney in 2015.
Peter also has completed a Masters in Philosophy at the University of Sydney, where he won the Sydney University research award in 2014. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in the general dental field, a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in the field of orthodontics all by examination.
Peter has a special interest in sleep apnoea and offers his time volunteering as the consultant orthodontist in a specialised multidisciplinary sleep team every month in the Illawarra. In his spare time, Peter enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his wife and young child.
Emmanuel was born and raised in Sydney. He attended Normanhurst Boys’ High School before moving to South Australia to study dentistry at the University of Adelaide where he graduated concurrently with both Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (First Class Honours). Emmanuel returned to Sydney upon graduation and worked as a general dentist in private practice. Pursuing his interest in orthodontics, he underwent specialist training at the University of Sydney and received his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics.
In his final year of study, he was awarded the Australian Begg Society of Orthodontists Award for Best Postgraduate Clinical Case. He has been awarded Membership to the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing piano and learning guitar. He also likes keeping active with tennis and basketball.
Dr Wong attained his Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science with Class I Honours and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry from Griffith University. He graduated first in his cohort for all 5 years of his dental degree, attaining the prestigious University Medal, Australian Society of Orthodontics Prize, Australian Dental Association Prize, and Head of School Nomination. From there, he pursued his specialist training in Orthodontics at the University of Sydney, attaining a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics.
Having undergone orthodontic treatment himself, Matthew truly understands the life-changing impact of a great smile on a patient’s confidence and self-esteem. As a specialist orthodontist, Matthew’s aim is to work with you and your child to restore confidence, function, and aesthetics. No matter how difficult, Matthew will work with you to find out what’s wrong, how it’s affecting you or your child, and how he can be of most benefit in your situation. He is also interested in the forefront of digital orthodontics and clear aligner therapy, and how it can be used to improve a patient's treatment.
He tells us although he looks young, the number of white hairs gives his true age away. During his spare time, he loves a good weekend spent with family and friends cooking up some well-chargrilled BBQ.
