While he was teaching there as a senior lecturer, he was accepted into advanced dual degree (Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters of Dental Science), at the University of Connecticut (UConn), School of Dental Medicine, USA, where he was guided by the world-renowned gurus of orthodontics professor Charles J Burstone and professor Ravindra Nanda.

After completing his studies in the USA, he moved to Melbourne in 2015, as a Senior Lecturer at Melbourne Dental School, University of Melbourne. Since then, he has been engaged in teaching postgraduates in orthodontists at the University of Melbourne and practicing as a registered specialist orthodontist. He has over 13 years of experience as an orthodontist. He feels proud and honored to be in the orthodontic profession, as it helps him to positively influence every individual he comes across, be at practice, or at the university.

Dr. Juhi Yadav is an experienced, well-published specialist orthodontist with experience in orthodontics and aesthetic dentistry for over 10 years in Melbourne. After completing her dental degree and postgraduate specialist training in orthodontics overseas (2010) she moved to Melbourne and attained the Australian Dental Council certificate, in 2012.

She followed on to receive commendations in her RACDS Primaries examination and completed the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) program in Orthodontics from University of Western Australia. She is also Australian Orthodontic Board (AOB) Certified and a member of Royal Australasian College of Dentists (MRACDS, Ortho). She uses all orthodontic systems (conventional braces, clear aligners, lingual orthodontics, Incognito) and provides orthodontic services in the inner eastern and south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

A dual degree has kept her at par with the latest developments in Orthodontics. Her primary research was based on facial and dental aesthetics and published in IJDR titled “Golden proportions as predictors of attractiveness and malocclusion. Her second research used finite element analysis and bio-engineering MIMICS software, (Materialize Belgium) to evaluate the effect of miniscrew-based maxillary expanders (MARME) in young adults.

She has a special interest in surgical orthodontics, clear aligners in tandem with mini-screws and surgery. She also looks forward to treating kids with special needs and aims to provide an individualized, gentle, and unique environment to make orthodontic treatment efficient and enjoyable.

In her spare time, Juhi loves spending time with her son and family travelling, hiking and would never miss out on “bumper cars” and go-karts!
