Dr Fitzpatrick received his Bachelor of Dental Science degree with honours from the University of Queensland in 2000. As a general dentist, he lived and worked in Hervey Bay, the Sunshine Coast, the UK, Brisbane’s north western suburbs and the Brisbane CBD.
Dr Fitzpatrick gained his specialty in orthodontics from The University of Melbourne in 2011. He joined the Shine Orthodontics team in 2012 and enjoys sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for orthodontics with the practice and our patients.
In his spare time he spends time with his young family and can be found mountain biking and snowboarding when the opportunity arises.
Dr Patel obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007 and after seven years of general practice, relocated to Adelaide where he completed his Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry degree in the speciality of orthodontics.
He is currently a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, the Australian Dental Association and is keen to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for orthodontics with our practice and our patients.
Dr Patel joined the Shine Team in 2021 and is a confident and caring professional who strives for excellence in patient care.
In his spare time, he is a devout cricket fan who also loves playing tennis, reading, playing the guitar, listening to music and spending time with his family.
Chris completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2014 in North Queensland at James Cook University. Research opportunities during undergraduate studies in dentistry and after led him to pursuing a desire to become an orthodontist. He later completed a full-time 3 year orthodontic residency to achieve specialist registration, obtaining a Doctorate in Orthodontics in 2018 from the University of Queensland.
Chris previously practiced orthodontics for three years on the Gold Coast from 2019 to 2021.
In 2022 he joined Metro North (Queensland Health) to provide orthodontic services to the Queensland Children’s Hospital and Herston Oral Health Centre, providing orthodontic treatment to cleft lip and palate patients as well those with complex craniofacial conditions.
Later in 2022, Chris joined Shine Orthodontics in Brisbane, where he has been dedicated to providing patients with exception orthodontic care. He is committed to continuing education to ensure he is at the forefront of orthodontic knowledge, regularly participating in meetings and conferences nationally and internationally. Chris holds certification with the Australasian Orthodontic Board (AOB), and is a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists (ASO), American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) and World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO).
Chris is married with two children and enjoys cycling, travelling and reading.
