Dr Ballard obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney in 1996 and worked for a number of years in both general private practice and with the Royal Australian Air Force. He then completed his Master of Dental Science (Orthodontics) at the University of Sydney.

Dr Ballard has published research articles around the world including the well renowned and respected “American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics”. He has been involved in tutoring postgraduate students at the University of Sydney.

Darin’s comical and easy-going nature makes him easily approachable and happy to answer any important concerns regarding your orthodontic treatment.

Dr Rex obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney in 1996, graduating with First Class Honours. She continued her specialist training in orthodontics at the University of Sydney and obtained her Master of Dental Science (Orthodontics) in 2002. Dr Rex has won prestigious research prizes and published numerous research articles around the world including the well renowned and respected “American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics.”

Dr Rex is obtained Invisalign certification at its inception in early 2000 and is a proud participant of the ASO Initiative, “Give a Smile”, providing orthodontic treatment to those financially unable. She has supported the development of one of the best orthodontic training programs in the world by tutoring postgraduate students at the University of Sydney.

Her bright smile and calm gentle nature makes her easily approachable and happy to answer any important concerns regarding orthodontic treatment.

Dr Wong attained his Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science with Class I Honours and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry from Griffith University. He graduated first in his cohort for all 5 years of his dental degree, attaining the prestigious University Medal, Australian Society of Orthodontics Prize, Australian Dental Association Prize, and Head of School Nomination. From there, he pursued his specialist training in Orthodontics at the University of Sydney, attaining a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics.

Having undergone orthodontic treatment himself, Matthew truly understands the life-changing impact of a great smile on a patient’s confidence and self-esteem. As a specialist orthodontist, Matthew’s aim is to work with you and your child to restore confidence, function, and aesthetics. No matter how difficult, Matthew will work with you to find out what’s wrong, how it’s affecting you or your child, and how he can be of most benefit in your situation. He is also interested in the forefront of digital orthodontics and clear aligner therapy, and how it can be used to improve a patient's treatment.

He tells us although he looks young, the number of white hairs gives his true age away. During his spare time, he loves a good weekend spent with family and friends cooking up some well-chargrilled BBQ.
