Dr Singer is a specialist orthodontist who is registered with the Dental Board of Australia (AHPRA), and has achieved Australian Orthodontic Board Certification. He is a full member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Orthodontics (ASO), the World Federation of Orthodontics, the Australasian Cleft Lip and Palate Association, and is a foundation member of the Oral Health Centre at the University of Western Australia. He has previously been the President and Secretary of the state ASO branch (WA) and has been the Federal treasurer for the ASO.
Dr Singer is a Consultant orthodontist at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children. He has a special interest in the treatment of children with facial clefts and other dentofacial anomalies. He is active in research and teaching, and has lectured nationally and internationally on several occasions. Dr Singer has published 19 articles in peer review journals including, The Angle Orthodontist, The International Journal of Prosthodontics, The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, The Cleft Lip and Craniofacial Journal and the Australian Dental Journal.
To ensure he and his staff stay at the highest level of knowledge of orthodontics and dentistry Dr Singer regularly attends meetings and conferences in Australia and overseas and organises staff attendance at continuing education courses.
Dr. Hopkins completed his Dentistry degree at The University of Manchester in 2006. After graduating, he worked in General Dental Practice and then posts in Paediatric Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2009, he was offered a position at the University of Manchester for orthodontic specialist training. He qualified with a Masters in Orthodontics in 2012, and completed the Royal College of Surgeons England orthodontic examination thereafter.
He worked in England as an orthodontic specialist for two years and in January 2015 emigrated to Australia with his wife Nayha and son Ethan. Their daughter Julia was born later that year.
He has been working in a private orthodontic practice in Perth city and also south of the river.
Outside of work Dr. Hopkins enjoys spending time with his young family, going to the gym and travelling.
