Dr Adams studied dentistry at the University of Sydney, graduating with Honours. He joined the RAAF with his first posting in Adelaide, then on to Sydney followed by Williamtown, home of the “Hornet”. Having had enough of fighter planes and their noise he moved to Perth, in time for the “America’s Cup”.
The RAAF sponsored Dr Adams to study orthodontics in Manchester, UK. He returned to Australia in 1990 to Glenbrook NSW and became the RAAF’s Senior Operational Dental Officer.
Since 1998 he has practiced orthodontics full time in private practice. With a keen interest in aesthetic treatment options, he practices the lingual technique and uses other low visibility appliances, in addition to traditional orthodontic techniques.
Dr Adams recently represented Australia at the Veterans’ World Inline Hockey Cup.
Dr Bonic completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Sydney, graduating with First Class Honours in 1998. Following graduation she worked as a general dentist in a south-western Sydney dental practice, as well as working in a specialist orthodontic practice in southern Sydney and Dubbo, NSW. This experience instigated a desire to pursue a career exclusively in orthodontics.
Dr Bonic was accepted into a full time postgraduate specialist training program, completing a three-year Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics) at the University of Melbourne in 2007. Enjoying the Melbourne lifestyle, she stayed in Victoria for an additional two years after graduating, working in private practices in Melbourne and Geelong before returning home to family and friends in Sydney in 2009 and soon joining the team at Hills Orthodontics.
Dr Bonic was the recipient of the Australian Orthodontic Board postgraduate clinical award for Victoria 2008. She has a keen interest in continuing her professional development, participating in orthodontic seminars both within Australia and internationally to keep up-to-date with the latest advances in orthodontic research and treatment standards.
In her free time Dr Bonic enjoys running with her iPod, trying new food, movies, music, reading and travelling. Her husband has introduced her to the more rugged pursuits of camping, boating and four-wheel driving.
