Gold Coast Orthodontists: Upper Coomera
Dr McNab graduated from the University of Queensland Dental School with First Class Honours in 1991. After several years working as a dentist, he returned to the University of Queensland in 1996 to begin his postgraduate training in orthodontics.
Upon graduation in 1998, Dr McNab worked as an orthodontist in England for several years. On returning to Australia, he worked in private orthodontic practice until 2009.
After a decade working as an orthodontist, his desire for learning led him back to university for another three years of full-time study to obtain the degree of Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Dento-maxillofacial Radiology.
Dr McNab holds dual specialist registration with the Dental Board of Australia in Orthodontics and Dento-maxillofacial Radiology and works in both fields. He is particularly interested in the application of three-dimensional imaging in orthodontics and in the ongoing research into temporomandibular joint disorders.
Dr McNab has published internationally in both the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and the Angle Orthodontist. He continues to lecture dental students at the University of Queensland Dental School.
Scott’s hobbies ceased with the birth of his third child. Life before children may have contained golf, surfing and trips to the footy.
Dr Goh grew in up Melbourne, before moving to Brisbane to study dentistry at the University of Queensland. He graduated as valedictorian and with first class honours, before working as a public dental officer in Bundaberg, and then in private general dental practice in Toowoomba and Brisbane.
After completing the Primary Examination in General Dental Practice with commendations, he returned to the University of Queensland, completing his DClinDent (Orth) specialist training in orthodontics and gaining membership to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in specialist dental practice.
Since that time, he has been in private specialist orthodontic practice on the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Dr. Goh also continues to teach as an Associate Lecturer at UQ, educating undergraduate dental students about orthodontics, and training future specialist orthodontists in clinical orthodontic treatment. He has also published research on conservative, non-surgical treatment for impacted maxillary canines, as well as Invisalign clear aligners.
Outside of his passion for creating confident and beautiful smiles, he enjoys the great outdoors, dining out, and relaxing with friends and family.
