Dr Bleakley graduated as a Dentist (BDSc) from the University of Queensland and worked in general dental practice for ten years, both in Australia and overseas. He successfully completed his Masters degree in Orthodontics (MDSc) at the University of Sydney and also completed examinations to become a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS). He is also a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (MRACDS Ortho). Dr Bleakley has also taught Undergraduate Dental Students and Postgraduate Orthodontic Students (training orthodontists) at The University of Sydney.
In recent times Dr Bleakley has remained very active in the educational environment. He has provided presentations at numerous specialist orthodontist conferences throughout Australia.
Dr Bleakley has also made time in his busy schedule to provide seminars for the Postgraduate Orthodontic Students at the University of Queensland Dental School since 2007. He has been teaching in the areas of clinical efficiency and the critical evaluation of clinical orthodontic procedures.
Dr McNab graduated from the University of Queensland Dental School with First Class Honours in 1991. After several years working as a dentist, he returned to the University of Queensland in 1996 to begin his postgraduate training in orthodontics.
Upon graduation in 1998, Dr McNab worked as an orthodontist in England for several years. On returning to Australia, he worked in private orthodontic practice until 2009.
After a decade working as an orthodontist, his desire for learning led him back to university for another three years of full-time study to obtain the degree of Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Dento-maxillofacial Radiology.
Dr McNab holds dual specialist registration with the Dental Board of Australia in Orthodontics and Dento-maxillofacial Radiology and works in both fields. He is particularly interested in the application of three-dimensional imaging in orthodontics and in the ongoing research into temporomandibular joint disorders.
Dr McNab has published internationally in both the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and the Angle Orthodontist. He continues to lecture dental students at the University of Queensland Dental School.
Scott’s hobbies ceased with the birth of his third child. Life before children may have contained golf, surfing and trips to the footy.
Phill grew in up Melbourne, before moving to Queensland to study dentistry. He graduated as a dentist with first class honours and as valedictorian, before working as a dentist in Bundaberg, Toowoomba, and Brisbane. After completing the Primary Examination in General Dental Practice with commendations, he returned to the University of Queensland, completing his specialist training in orthodontics and gaining membership to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in specialist dental practice. He has published research on impacted maxillary canines, and serves as an Associate Lecturer, teaching undergraduate and post-graduate students at the University of Queensland.
