Dr Franciskus Tan
Dr Tan completed his general dental training at the University of Sydney in 1981 with Honours and graduated Masters Orthodontic Degree in 1984. In 1986, Dr Tan was admitted as a Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Further The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons has elected Dr Tan as a member of the College in the Special Field of Orthodontics (MRACDS orthodontics). He is also a member of the Australian Dental Association as well as a full member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists. Since 1984 Dr Tan has been involved in the final year Undergraduate Orthodontic teaching course in the University of Sydney. In 1990 he was appointed a Specialist Clinical lecturer in the Postgraduate Masters Degree both in the Westmead Dental Hospital and the Sydney Dental Hospital. Dr Tan set up his Specialist Orthodontic practice in the heart of the City of Parramatta in 1988 and since has been serving people across the City from Sydney to Newcastle. Throughout the years Dr Tan has continued to pursue education courses in an effort to keep well updated with recent advances in orthodontic technology. His primary focus is achieving simultaneously clinical excellence in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Aside from running a successful orthodontic practice, Dr Tan has two children and enjoys spending time with them. He loves to travel to see the world, enjoys reading and walking. When not working one can often find him on a badminton court chasing the shuttlecock.
