Dr Moate says given the opportunity to help create beautiful smiles every day is enormously satisfying, and living and working in the Northern Beaches community allows him the additional enjoyment of seeing his patients going about their lives with renewed confidence and a terrific smile.
Dr Moate is in partnership with Dr Hammond at Northside Orthodontics and sets a very high standard of patient care, while maintaining excellent orthodontic skills. The staff at Northside are the very backbone of the practice.
Dr Moate graduated from the University of Sydney in 1992 with an Honours Degree in Dentistry, worked in Orange, NSW, then as a Flying Dentist in the Northern Territory (servicing the Arnhem Land area), and finally in private practice as a general dentist in Sydney. This varied work gave him a strong background in all areas of dentistry, allowing him to experience different styles of practice and formulate goals for his own orthodontic practice.
He completed training as an orthodontist in 2001, after having discovered a special interest in early intervention treatment and Invisalign.
Married with two children, two dogs (Baz and Boots) and a cat (Rupert) who rule the house, he loves the outdoors, especially jogging along the beach and playing touch football.
