Dr Lee has been practising as a registered Specialist Orthodontist for almost 34 years. She graduated with Honours at University of Melbourne in 1977 for her Bachelor of Dental Science Degree. She was awarded the John Iliffe Prize for being the top student in 1974 and was a holder of Commonwealth Dental Scholarship between 1975 and 1977.
She practiced general dentistry for four years before attaining her specialist qualification – Master of Dental Science Degree in Orthodontics at University of Melbourne in 1983.
Upon graduation, she worked with 2 experienced orthodontists prior to starting her own practices in Melbourne and Ballarat in 1985. Since 2008, she consults only in her Melbourne practice on St Kilda Road.
She likes attending orthodontic meetings and conferences both in Australia and overseas to keep up with the State of the art in orthodontics. Being an Australian Chinese, she can speak both Cantonese and Mandarin fluently.
Dr Lee subscribes to the dictum that extractions of healthy permanent teeth to relieve crowding should be the last resort in orthodontics and believes in early intervention. Her treatment method has created so many beautiful full smiles over the past 34 years.
Outside of work, Dr Lee enjoys travelling, reading, listening to music, spending time with friends/family and doing volunteer community work.
