Dr Rapaport grew up in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and maintains a boutique specialist orthodontic practice in Bondi Junction. He has also worked in Hurstville and on the Upper North Shore.
He is a graduate of The University of Sydney and has been a Clinical Lecturer there for decades, teaching orthodontics to undergraduates, postgraduates and to dentists. He is also an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Charles Sturt University in Orange.
In 2001 Dr Rapaport became one of the first Australian orthodontists to be accredited to use the Invisalign system and now has, what they call, platinum elite provider status. He is also a Clinical Lecturer for Invisalign, teaching courses throughout Australia, New Zealand, China, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
He is Australian Orthodontic Board certified and is one of only two Australians invited to be on the Invisalign Asia Pacific Advisory Board.
Dr Rapaport’s clinical interest has also been in the use of facial growth appliances.
He is a former president of a number of Orthodontic and Dental Societies and outside of orthodontics, he maintains an interest in architecture and art.
If you attend his practice, you will see this reflected in his unique “funky” practice decor.
Dr Rapaport is married to a lawyer and they have three children, who are either studying or embarking upon their early (non dental) careers.
