Dr Haylea Blundell

Dr Haylea Blundell is a local to Bendigo and completed her masters of Dentistry at La Trobe University (Bendigo). Haylea has always had a passion for orthodontics and after working for three years as a general dentist relocated to Brisbane to complete her specialist Orthodontic training (Doctor of Clinical Dentistry - Orthodontics) at the University of Queensland. Haylea was selected as a Resident Student Scholar applicant at the American Association of Orthodontics conference (2020) and won third prize at the International Orthodontic Conference in Japan (2020) for her post-graduate research. Haylea has also obtained her Membership in Orthodontics by examination with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and is certified with the Australasian Board of Orthodontists. Growing up, Dr. Haylea was an elite gymnast in Bendigo and competed at state, national and international levels. Her gymnastic career has given Haylea the ability to get along well with patients from all walks of life.

Dr. Haylea has a strong passion for orthodontics and not only enjoys creating beautiful smiles for her patients, but providing a personal approach to treatment, to ensure her patients feel welcome & comfortable in her practice. Dr. Haylea is also a Honorary Adjunct Senior Orthodontic Lecturer at La Trobe University and is proud to give back to the university where her dental career began. In her spare time, Haylea enjoys spending time with her husband, family (especially her beautiful nieces), practicing pilates and walking her two dogs Murphy & Nelson.
