Dr Debora Alvares
Harris is an AHPRA registered
specialist orthodontist and ASO member
Dr Harris completed her Masters of Dental Sciences in Orthodontics at the University of Sydney. She has conducted extensive scientific research in the field of orthodontics. Her scientific research has been published in the orthodontic scientific literature.
Dr Harris's research work has been awarded the Thomas M. Graber Award of Special Merit by the American Association of Orthodontists, the first non-North American trained orthodontist to receive this prominent Award. In Australia, she received the Eldon Storey Research Award from the Australian Society of Orthodontists.
Whilst in her final year of her Masters program, Dr Harris travelled abroad and successfully completed the Diploma Membership of Orthodontics examination of The Royal College of Surgeons Membership in Orthodontics, one of the highest honours for practicing orthodontics in the European Union.
Dr Harris is also committed to educating the next generation of orthodontists and has taught orthodontics to dental students at the University of Sydney, Westmead Hospital and Sydney Dental Hospital.
