Dr Anastasia Bakopoulou

Dr Anastasia was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, where she graduated from Santa Maria University in 2007 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She worked in private practice until moving to Australia to pursue her passion for orthodontics. In 2010, she commenced studies at the University of Sydney, completing a Master of Philosophy in Orthodontics, followed by a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics in 2014.

Between 2015 and 2019, Dr Anastasia combined clinical practice with teaching responsibilities at Sydney Dental Hospital. She served as a Clinical Educator for the Bachelor of Oral Health program within the Orthodontic Department at the University of Sydney. During this time, she also provided orthodontic care to public patients, lectured Doctor of Dental Medicine students, and was a clinical instructor for the Orthodontic Long Course for practicing dental professionals.

Dr Anastasia is known for her empathetic and patient-focused approach to care. She designs personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, creating a supportive environment that fosters confidence and trust throughout their orthodontic journey.

With a commitment to excellence, she stays up to date with ongoing professional development and takes a particular interest in integrating the latest custom-made appliances and orthodontic technologies. Inspired by her own orthodontist, she aims to deliver both aesthetic and positive treatment outcomes.

Fluent in English, Spanish, and Greek, Dr Anastasia’s multicultural background helps her connect with a diverse patient base. She currently works part-time at Beaches Dental Mona Vale, maintaining a healthy work-life balance to enjoy time with her young family and close friends.
