Dr Adam Wallace is a specialist orthodontist with more than 17 years of experience in the dental profession. He was born and raised near Leongatha, South Gippsland, and attended Chairo Christian School (Leongatha campus) prior to moving to Melbourne to finish his secondary school studies.
Dr Wallace completed both his Dentistry and Orthodontic specialist training at the University of Melbourne. Since graduating in 2005, he has continued to lecture, demonstrate and examine in the Oral Health Therapy, Dentistry and Specialist Orthodontic programs. He is also an examiner with the Australian Dental Council for overseas trained dentists.
He is an active member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists and the Australian Dental Association, for which he has held several roles. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontists and a previous member of the British Orthodontic society. Continuing education is important to Dr Wallace, for which he regularly attends continuing education courses throughout Australia and internationally to learn the latest developments in order to better treat his patients.
Dr Wallace completed his doctoral thesis on the clinically relevant difference between Invisalign and traditional braces. He completed a prospective clinical study on the treatment outcomes between the two treatment modalities and intends to publish these findings soon.
A caring, compassionate and understanding approach is the key to Dr Wallace’s management for his patients. He also has a keen interest in treating adolescent and adult patients with clear aligners (i.e., Invisalign, Spark aligners) as well as early interceptive orthodontics for children and teenagers.
