Orthodontics Exclusively: Sydney

Dr Duncan is a Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Orthodontic Department at the University of Sydney. He is also an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in Orthodontics at Charles Sturt University.

We are all actively involved in University teaching (personally since 1992) and the sharing of ideas allows us to stay at the forefront of the development and provision of Specialist Orthodontic Care including invisible braces for adult patients and non-extraction therapy for our younger patients. Creating beautiful, healthy and natural smiles is why I enjoy my work so much.”

Dr Ngan completed his specialist training at The University of Sydney, receiving the MRS medal for ‘The Most Outstanding Graduate Orthodontist in Australia’, the Foundation Award for his academic thesis, and the Australian Orthodontic Board award for his clinical work.

He was also awarded the ‘Gold Medal for Excellence in Dentistry’ from the University of Otago, Fellowship to the World Federation of Orthodontists, and Membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Dr Ngan also teaches Doctorate Orthodontics at The University of Sydney and is an Adjunct Lecturer at Charles Sturt University.

He says, “After 15 years of orthodontics, I have evolved my philosophy to include optimising dento-facial aesthetics on a non-extraction basis where possible. I use all techniques including self ligating brackets, functional and expansion appliances, and mini implant techniques. I also have more than 13 years of experience using Invisalign".

Dr Yee completed his dental degree at The University of Sydney with First Class Honours, receiving numerous academic and clinical prizes. Following 6 years in private practice, he completed his specialist training in Orthodontics at The University of Sydney, graduating with Honours and was awarded the University postgraduate prize for best overall academic and clinical performance within the Faculty of Dentistry. He also obtained a Fellowship in Dental Surgery and Membership in Orthodontics both at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, and has achieved Membership into the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons by examination.

He is a certified member of the Australian Orthodontic Board and has been appointed as a Specialist Clinical Associate at the University of Sydney, teaching postgraduate orthodontic students.
