Cairns Specialist Orthodontists: Cairns

Originally from Melbourne, Mark moved to Adelaide to pursue his interest in dentistry and completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2007. Mark started working as a dentist in Cairns the following year at two practice locations in Earlville and Gordonvale. The decision to move to Cairns was not purely motivated by work with Mark having a keen interest in fishing, camping and 4WDing, making several trips up Cape York in search of adventure. He is also passionate about fitness and has competed in the Great Pyramid Race in Gordonvale numerous times.

While working as a general dentist Mark developed an interest in orthodontics and completed the primary fellowship exams for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2011 to gain entry into an Orthodontic training facility. He commenced a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics in 2012 where he learnt the skills necessary to improve patient smiles. He has also been awarded membership to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and is currently a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists and Australian Orthodontic Board.

Mark prides himself on being able to offer high quality yet affordable orthodontics to all age groups and periodically visits both Tully and Weipa to help provide specialty services to more remote regions of Far North Queensland and Cape York.
